Quiet Superstitions and its Cure

Okay so here I go, my first true blog post.

This is me.

A 25 year old social worker who is abashedly shy, but has decided to blog about life, love and the quiet superstitions that I feel along the way.

All these quiet superstitions in my head,
Don't believe me when I say I've got it down...

We ain't that the truth. I may try to plan it all out, know every detail to a T, and crave control like New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream, I know that the future is uncertain. It not only uncertain but its not even guaranteed.

There have been many death lately that have put life into perspective. I am not a kid anymore, I am an adult and immortality is not promised to me on this world. I'm sorry my friends, this may be tough to hear, but our time on this Earth is limited. There is no guarantee for tomorrow. Any one of use could be gone in the blink of an eye, but there is hope.

Oh yes sirree Bob, there is. Want to know what it is? Want in on a FABULOUS secret? You sure? Okay, I'll tell you.
Eternal Life. Yes, you heard me right and, no, I am not delusional. We have the promise of eternal life through Christ and it's FABULOUS!!! (BTW, fabulous is one of my most favorite words and I use it liberally as well as absolutely and seriously)

Okay I know you are about to totally ex out of my blog and move on, but I just had to share that news with you. I am on an adventure to learn more about God and his son. Maybe you would like to try it out with me. I would love some company.
This week I started 2 Peter with my bible study group and I have decided to resurrect my blog and begin sharing my homiletics lessons and all that I learn right here with you. Excited, huh? I know I am...

So as I misadventure through life, work to walk in the way of the Lord and all the interesting, mundane, insighful and sightless things I encounter along my way. If anything you will learn a little more about your Creator and get a good laugh from me :)

Tomorrow, I will blog my first lesson, my notes from bible study and my bible teacher breakdown of how to do homiletics.
